“Stairs I Climb”
Ornate ironwork, for which St. Petersburg is famed, is everywhere. I never tire of looking at the architecture in this beautiful city. I did, however, eschew the presence of elevators so I could enjoy the ambience created by these railings, in this marvelous and almost mysteriously lighted stairway. Stairways have always had a symbolic and allegorical meaning for me. Up and away!
