Butirskiy, like many artists, loves to experiment with new mediums when he is  creating a new work of art. He is passionate for oil on canvas but because of the lengthy drying time of the paint, it may take months to complete a work. Time is money. Besides, the great masters only worked in oil.
When he works with acrylics or watercolors, he can complete most paintings in one setting.
