Once again demonstrating his mastery of color and realism, contemporary painter Henry Asencio introduces the second image in his series "Golden Light."
Through composition and color, the artist is able to skillfully convey the unspoken truths of body language: comfort, healing, transformation and rebirth.
Using a neutral color palette, but also introducing background colors like amethyst, sienna or ocher, Asencio lays down colors in a style that is reminiscent of the Renaissance artists of their day, masterfully layering color on top of color to create a warmth... yet illuminating his subject, showing the tenderness of the subject.
